Originally one of the old Coastguard cottages, this delightful cottage is a much loved family holiday home for the owners, who live in London. It is tastefully decorated and is perfectly located overlooking the Whitstable coast. It is a short walk to all the lovely restaurants and boutique shops, as well as the traditional greengrocers, butchers and bakers offering everything you need from local traders. The famous Whitstable harbour and fish markets are also only minutes away.

Nelson Cottage is approached through a lovely, well-tended garden with garden furniture. A seating area close to the house is ideal for breakfasts in the early morning sun.

It has two bedrooms, and a first floor sitting room with sofa bed, so it is perfect for four people but it can accommodate a maximum of six people. The sitting room has elevated views over the West Beach tennis courts and the sea path promenade. It has a wood burning fire - perfect for cosy winter days watching the dramatic coastline, or hot summer days with the window open, sipping Pimms and watching the local tennis matches.

Ground floor: Large dining room overlooking the garden, and adjoining lounge, with door to a small outside seating area overlooking tennis courts. Kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier. Downstairs cloakroom with shower. Garden with garden furniture and barbecue.

First floor: Double bedroom overlooking the garden. Bathroom with roll-top bath and shower attachment. Sitting room (with sofa bed) with lovely views across the tennis courts to the beach. Please note access to the upper bedroom is through the sitting room.

Second floor: Double bedroom, in the eaves with velux window with sea views.

Colour TV and DVD player, CD/cassette player. Centrally heated, with wood burning fire in the sitting room, so ideal for year round letting. Welcome pack on arrival. Two 'antique' bicycles, and tennis racquets for guests' use. Pets welcome -   £15 extra charge per pet per booking.

Departure and arrival times usually 10.00am and 4.00pm but flexible on request.
