Located in a quiet side street off the main promenade, Sunshine Cottage is a delightful retreat. Its stylish owner has recently renovated the cottage, giving it a light, bright ambience, while retaining many lovely traditional features. In addition to sea views, the sounds of waves lapping the seashore can be heard through open windows. The cottage has a comfortable sitting room and sleeps four in two cosy double bedrooms. The kitchen, equipped with all mod cons, including dishwasher and washing machine, opens through a stable door onto a sunny enclosed courtyard, which is ideal for outdoor dining. Central heating throughout makes Sunshine Cottage the perfect year-round destination.
Herne Bay is a lovely seaside town offering everything for romantics, traditionalists and even adventurers. The shingle beach offers sunbathing opportunities in fine weather and wonderful seaside walks whatever the weather. The long promenade offers even more seaside walking opportunities and is enhanced by pretty gardens that run alongside. The town's bandstand, which hosts musical events and entertainment has become a firm favourite for those who enjoy cafe culture.
There is something for everyone, young or old, in Herne Bay: independent shops, traditional pubs, tasty restaurants and an abundance of water sports from jet skiing to sailing. The town also celebrates the Herne Bay Festival in August, and is ideally located for exploring Whitstable and Canterbury.
