You couldn't get more central than this. Thames House is an affordable, family friendly and spacious 3 bed Victorian terraced house right in the centre of Whitstable and within easy walking distance of the beach, harbour and the famous independent shops and eateries. Thames House makes a great, affordable base for exploring all that Whitstable and the North Kent Coast has to offer.
This large high ceilinged Victorian house has been recently restored by its owner Thames House has great character coupled with modern facilities and some funky touches.
The large, light kitchen diner to the rear is thoroughly modern with some vintage touches and is perfect for entertaining and family meals. The living room has a working Parkray fire and a stylish 60s arm chair, very James Bond, as well as a large sofa.
The back half of the living room can be used as a play or chill out area and contains a comfortable double sofa bed. There are stripped floors throughout.
Thames House is in a superb location, just a short walk from the harbour and beach, and a stones throw from Harbour Street and the High Street with its perfect mix of traditional greengrocers, bakers, butchers and fish shops interspersed with tempting boutique and gift shops, art galleries and delicatessens.
There is a garden with a BBQ; the patio that is a lovely sun trap.
Ground floor: Spacious living room with a working Parkray fire, large sofa, armchair and coffee table. TV & DVD player.
Kitchen Diner : This is a large and light filled room with bags of character and really state of the art kitchen with electric hob & oven, wine cooler fridge, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer, toaster, kettle & coffee machine. There is a leaf-large table and eclectic chairs that can seat 8.
There is an iPod docking station.
The large back doors lead from the kitchen to the garden.
There is a downstairs WC and basin under the stairs.
First floor: Three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 to the front with twin beds. Bedroom 2 between with a double bed, bedroom 3 to the rear with bunk beds (that can also work as two singles)and a cot. All rooms have wardrobes and chest of drawers.
Bathroom : The bathroom has been recently installed and is very modern and stylish with bath, seperate shower cubicle, WC and basin.
Centrally heated so ideal for year round letting. No private parking, but Thames House is located opposite one of the town's car parks, £4 for 24 hours, so parking is not an issue. The car park can be occasionally busy during the day, but is quiet at night. With double glazing throughout Thames House offers a secluded haven whilst being a stones throw from all that Whitstable has to offer.
