The cottage was clean, light and airy, and had everything we needed. The outside space is a wonderful place to sit and watch the tides, boats and birds. My only disappointment was that although the "beach" is pebbly at the top above the tide line as specified, it is a mud flat as soon as the tide goes out, so not suitable for walking on or paddlingRead more. However, there are thousands of seashells on the pebbly part, so that's a bonus! Hide

We had a lovely holiday at Mermaids Cave, the location is great, close to Whitstable and Faversham. It is the sea views, which make it special, and the many different birds that can be seen. The cottage is comfortable with everything you might need and sitting out on the deck in the evening sunshine is just perfect.

Really loved the new layout of the property, especially the en-suite bathrooms and the new cooker. The roomy bedrooms and storage in them were greatly improved too and much appreciated as was the hairdryer. We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and have already booked for next year. X

I think guests with mobility problems would find it hard to get in and out of bed. Maybe a warning that there is very limited space around the beds?
