The town has a wealth of independent shops and a fine selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs, all within 500m of the cottage. Enjoy the beach and coastal walks as well as a variety of water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing. Why not take a bike ride along the seafront, or follow the Crab and Winkle Way along the coast to Herne Bay (5.5 miles). Nearby is the city of Canterbury (7 miles), which is home to the country’s oldest cathedral and the perfect place to enjoy some history and culture.

The front door of this beautiful property opens onto the comfortably furnished lounge that features two sofas arranged around a warming wood burner, a Smart TV and a selection of retro comic books that will take you back to years gone by. From the lounge, head through to the dining room that offers a large dining table with seating for all around a second wood burner, and a piano for guests to enjoy. Beyond the dining room is the well-equipped kitchen equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and microwave. Completing the ground floor is the family bathroom which is located just off the kitchen and features a beautiful roll top bath with a shower over, and WC. Heading up to the first floor, there are two large bedrooms: a double and a twin, and a set of steep stairs takes you up into the eaves of the property where you will find a spacious king-size bedroom with a Smart TV.

Outside, you'll discover a 120-foot garden with a summerhouse doubling as a games room/snug, complete with full-size table football, TV and Wii console. The patio area is a wonderful sun trap that offers comfortable seating that can be enjoyed throughout the day. There is unrestricted roadside parking outside of the property subject to availability. Lovely cottage in a great location near the centre of Whitstable, but a quiet residential road. The stairs are steep but fine for the average person. The cottage was comfortable and the garden a blessing in good weather. Lots to do in summer in Whitstable and surrounding area. We enjoyed our week here
