Situated in the heart of Whitstable, famous for its oysters which are celebrated every August at the Oyster Festival, this picturesque seaside town is renowned for its culinary heritage, with several local pubs and restaurants just moments from the cottage. Keen cyclists can enjoy a bike ride along the Crab and Winkle Way or ride along the coast to Herne Bay. For walkers, there are many footpaths to explore along the Kent coastline. For those looking to venture slightly further afield, head to nearby Canterbury (7 miles), which is home to the country’s oldest cathedral. Enjoy a spot of retail therapy or visit the ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church which form Canterbury's UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As you enter this cosy cottage, you’ll step inside to the light and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with large sliding doors that open out into the courtyard garden. Relax after a busy day sightseeing on the comfy sofa and enjoy catching up on your favourite TV programmes on the Smart TV. If you fancy a cosy night in, whip up a delicious romantic meal in the well-equipped kitchen which includes an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, washing machine and microwave before sitting down to dine at the table with seating for two. Heading upstairs to the bedroom, you will find a comfortable king-size bed with an Emma mattress and an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower and WC.

Outside, there is a secluded courtyard garden which catches the sun for most of the day and acts as a real suntrap. A patio table and chairs, deckchairs as well as a charcoal BBQ are available for guests to enjoy a spot of outside dining.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Richard was a very attentive host, helped us with the gate during the storm. Fantastic location and loved exploring the local area. Great local restaurants and incredibly friendly people.

Harbour Lodge was a beautiful cottage. Sharon and Richard made us very welcome. Everything was spotless and very comfortable. Excellent position for Whitstable town, buses to other places i.e. Herne Bay, Canterbury and surrounding areas. Plenty of eating places, and many little shops. We would highly recommend.

The cottage was in a great location, it was immaculate inside & it had everything you would need to complete your stay, including a lovely bottle of Prosecco chilling in the fridge on arrival. The owners had thought of everything you would need in the kitchen / bathroom & around the house during your stay & the WIFI is better than i have at home !!

Very comfortable and modern holiday cottage which is well equipped. Whilst this is a one bedroom cottage it feels spacious including the lovely bedroom upstairs. The private courtyard garden area is bit of a suntrap and is ideal for the use of the BBQ. The property is situated in the town so it is very close to the shops pubs and restaurants.
