This charming property is perfect for couples who are looking to enjoy a rural escape with easy access to the Kent coast. Nestled on the edge of Ellenden Woods and within easy reach of Blean Woods Nature Reserve, this cottage is in an area which is an absolute haven for keen walkers and wildlife lovers who are looking to explore the local footpaths on offer. Whitstable (3 miles) is close by and is a delightful seaside town that offers plenty of activities for everyone. The town has a wealth of independent shops, and a fine selection of restaurants, cafes, and pubs. Enjoy beautiful coastal walks and a variety of water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing. Visit Whitstable Castle or follow the Crab and Winkle Way from Whitstable to Canterbury or enjoy a bike ride along the seafront to Herne Bay (5 miles).

Enter a welcoming hallway before heading through to the comfortable lounge. Relax on the comfortable sofa or armchairs after a busy day exploring and catch up on your favourite programmes on the TV or just enjoy a good book. The well-equipped kitchen/diner has everything you may need for whipping up a delicious meal before sitting down to dine at the dining table. A handy utility room offers space for wiping down muddy paws after bracing walks. Heading back into the hallway, there are two bedrooms: a double and a small double. The property is completed with a shower room and a separate WC.

Outside, there is a fully enclosed garden with patio seating from which to enjoy the far-reaching countryside views - perfect for enjoying a glass of fizz on a warm summer’s evening.

The cottage is really cosy and comfy but plenty of room. It's situated in a rural setting but only 10 minutes from Whitstable and easy access to many parts of Kent. Owners live next door and are on hand if there are problems. Our hounds loved the enclosed garden. We will definitely return and definitely recommend.

Another perfect stay! The owners go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Thank you ! This is the second time we have stayed in this idyllic location which is close to great dog walks and within easy reach of shops. We will be back .

Lovely homely bungalow in the countryside so very quiet and peaceful, perfect to unwind after day out along the North Kent Coast. Perfectly clean and very comfortable with everything needed for a great stay. Lovely enclosed garden for our dog with great views across to Whitstable and beautiful sunsets. We stayed at Tanglewood for 6 nights and when we arrived at the cottage it was spotless, the owners had thought of everything from a dog bed, dog biscuits and spare leads! The decor was lovely, in keeping with country cottage style. They really did think of everything you may need for your stay. Lovely cottage and an amazing location. Very peaceful and ideally placed for walking. Very friendly owners and I would definitely recommend staying here. The back garden had amazing views. You would need a car to travel to shops and pubs. Very clean and homely cottage.

Really lovely, peaceful stay which began with a much appreciated welcome pack left for us on the kitchen table. The dog wasn't left out as she had her own treats in the utility room along with a bed and bowls to use. There's a pond outside and fields all around with horses at the back with the added bonus of the sea 10 minutes away . Plenty of dog Read morefriendly pubs around. If help is needed the owners are next door but they aren't intrusive. We hope to return in the future. Hide

Lovely cottage very comfortable and quiet. Mandy and Mark are lovely couldn't do enough to help. The utility is great for mucky dogs and Mandy provided plentiful dog towels. The kitchen is very well equipped.

Perfect!!!. Very clean and spacious property with great facilities and home comforts provided, Towels, crockery, washing machine and extra blankets. Even our dog was well catered for with treats, dog bed , towels and bowls. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and we could contact them if we had a problem. My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this cottage over New Year. We were the owners' first guests and they left us so many treats including champagne and local honey. The cottage was a lovely size and the perfect peaceful location - on a farm close to forest walks and with sea views over Whitstable which was less than 15 minutes away by car. LRead moreots of thoughtful dog treats, bowls, towels etc too. The little garden was perfect and there were horses over the fence. We hope to return soon! Hide
