Situated in the heart of Whitstable and within 500m of all the local shops, pubs and restaurants, this is the perfect getaway for keen foodies. Whitstable is famous for its oysters which are celebrated every July at the Oyster Festival, and a short stroll brings you to the local harbour where you can buy the local catch of the day. For those that enjoy the great outdoors there are beach and coastal walks as well as a variety of water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing. Why not enjoy a bike ride along the Crab and Winkle Way or ride along the coast to Herne Bay (6 miles). For a spot of culture head to nearby Canterbury (7 miles), which is home to The Marlow Theatre and the country’s oldest Cathedral where you can visit the ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church which form Canterbury's UNESCO World Heritage site.

As you enter this stylish newly refurbished (April 2023) cottage, which was once a former bicycle repair shop, you’ll be greeted by a light and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with high ceilings and a modern industrial feel of loft style living. Relax after a busy day sightseeing on the comfy sofa and enjoy catching up on your favourite TV programmes on the Smart TV. If you fancy a cosy night in, whip up a delicious meal in the well-equipped kitchen which includes an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and washing machine, before sitting down to dine at the table with seating for all. Heading upstairs to the first floor you will find two comfy double bedrooms to choose from and stylish family bathroom.

Outside, there is a secluded courtyard garden which catches the sun for most of the day and acts as a real suntrap. A patio table and chairs as well as a charcoal BBQ are available for guests to enjoy a spot of outside dining.

Lovely and clean cottage in a good location next to high street. Very comfy beds. The parking situation is strained, but it is possible to get a parking space around the cottage within 5-10 minutes (worst case). A Coop is a one minute-walk away from the cottage, high street 3 minutes, beach and harbour 7 minutes. Well equipped cottage in good location easily walkable to harbour, shops and beach. We used the train to go to Margate for the day and visited Canterbury another. Very helpful property manager who contacted us to see if everything was ok.
