Whitstable is one of Kent’s most popular seaside towns, and first-time visitors to the town will soon see why holidaymakers choose to return year-on-year. The town is renowned for its excellent range of independent shops and fantastic choice of restaurants, bistros, and pubs, many of which pride themselves on their creative use of the local produce, including the oysters for which the town is famed. The shingle beach is a pleasant space to spend a day, walking, picnicking, or simply relaxing and enjoying the fresh air and gentle sound of the waves, whilst sporty types may like to try out the range of watersports that the town has to offer.

The front door of this cottage opens onto the light-filled open-plan lounge/diner, an elegant space which has been beautifully finished to provide a sanctuary-like space. The dining area is at the front end of the room, with the lounge towards the rear, where guests will find two deep sofas, a cosy open fire, a Smart TV and Blu-ray player. French windows open onto the garden, whilst a doorway leads through to the sleek, contemporary galley-style kitchen which is equipped with an oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. The bathroom is also situated on the ground floor and offers a shower-over-bath and WC. Open-tread stairs from the dining area lead up to the first floor where there are three bedrooms. The first of these is set at the front of the house, and is furnished with a king-size bed, a wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. The second bedroom not only has a king-size bed, but also is used to access the third bedroom: a restful double room.

Outside, the cottage enjoys a stylish, carefully designed rear garden which is mainly set to shingle and has a pretty seaside theme, with garden furniture, festoon lighting, and a coal-fired BBQ. Roadside parking is available locally.

What a fabulous house! Unable to fault anything about it. In fact I would love to live in this house. Its a great layout, very cosy especially with the open fire. The furnishings and the added touches such as candles were first class. We sampled a number of local bars and restaurants with all considered excellent, the location of the house meant thRead moreat most were a very short walk away, as was the sea. Hide

Lovely property in a great location super close to town and the harbour. The property was very comfortable and we managed to find everything we needed at the property for our stay. There was plenty of room for the two of us and our dog with a nice little garden for when the sun was shining. We love our visits to Whitstable.
