This property is located right at the heart of the somewhat quirky seaside town of Whitstable, just off the main street and opposite a welcoming pub. The town is awash with places to eat and specialises particularly in the local seafood which is still brought into the town’s attractive harbour. The shops in the town are perfect for an afternoon spent browsing, as they are mainly independent boutiques which are sure to delight shoppers who are looking for something a little different than they would find in the usual high street stores. The pretty beach is great for enjoying seaside walks all year round, and it is possible to walk around the bay to the nearby of Tankerton and Seasalter, or even on to the neighbouring town of Herne Bay, some five miles away.

The front door of this cottage opens onto the light and airy lounge, with its carefully chosen furnishings, TV/DVD, and warming wood burner in the exposed stone fireplace. This room leads onto the separate dining room, which in turn, leads to the sleek and contemporary galley-style kitchen where guests will find an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, and washing machine. A wet room with WC is also located on the ground floor. Stairs from the dining room lead to the first floor, where there are two bedrooms as well as a bathroom which boasts a bath, separate shower, and WC. The first of the bedrooms on this floor is a pretty king-size room, whilst the second is a restful double. The third bedroom, accessed through the double bedroom via steep stairs, can be found on the second floor: a light-filled twin room which has a sloping ceiling and therefore some reduced head-height.

Outside, there is a private patio garden at the front for guests to enjoy, as well as a handy side alley which can be used for storing bikes, or canoes, etc. Unusually for the town centre, there is private parking available for one car.

  • 3 bedrooms: 1 king-size, 1 double and 1 twin which is accessed through the double bedroom and up steep stairs
  • 2 bathrooms: 1 wet room with WC on the ground floor and 1 family bathroom with bath, separate shower, and WC
  • Oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso Original coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine
  • Wood burner
  • Smart TV and DVD in the lounge
  • Patio garden at the front with table and chairs
  • Private parking for 1 car
  • Shops, pubs, and beach within walking distance
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00
  • Sorry, no dogs allowed

Good location for short walk to the sea front and to the high street shops - don't think I have ever been closer to a Sainsbury or local bakery and greengrocers!

Everything was excellent. Lovely, well equipped cottage in a great location. We enjoyed the wood burning stove most evenings which worked really well. A real bonus having the car parking space.

The cottage was perfect for our needs; close to the high street and not too far from the station. It was exceptionally clean and tidy. The stairs up to the third floor bedroom are difficult to navigate as the ceiling is very low but it wasnt too much of a problem. Wed definitely book again for a short stay.

Beautiful well-equipped cottage in a very good location - ideal for shops and restaurants - in fact there is a Thai restaurant virtually opposite. The parking space was very welcome but is only really big enough for a medium sized car.
