The Blue Beach House is perfect my hubby John & our 3 rescue Rotties Jack, Poppy and Jellybean absolutely adored our week there and were all very sad to leave there. We wanted for nothing. Coming from West Wales and only being 10minutes from the closest beach is nothing compared to have the sea lapping up at the bottom of the garden, bliss. If you are looking for one lovely big room to relax in then this cottage has it. The main room with the view of the sea from the bi fold doors is designed in four sections. The kitchen, the dinning, the TV viewing and then the sofa that lets you view the sea. Downside are the small bedrooms that back onto a main road.

There were three adults in our group. The bedroom with bunk beds was only really appropriate for children. Otherwise comfortable, wonderful views and well equipped.

This is a lovely cottage right on the seafront at Seasalter. The main living room/kitchen area could not be faulted. The decor was really good and the "seaside" touches just brought it all together. Bedroom one is a double, but it is a little tight for the person sleeping by the window to nip out to the bathroom in the night. Bedroom two has bunk bRead moreeds, so possible only suitable for children, although my mother (96) managed to cope with the bottom bunk. Comfortable beds and quality bedding. Hide

Fantastic house in an amazing location. From the minute you get there you immediately relax with the stunning views and calmness from watching the tide come in and go out. Everything you need is there inside and outside but to be honest we spent most of our time outside sat on the decking just looking out to sea and watching the sunsets in the evenRead moreing. We made a lot of use of the firepit and bbq as well, and our son loved being able to go crabbing off the stone pier whenever the tide was up. Hide

Location is second to none - views were breathe taking. Tranquillity and calm of the sea where we could watch the tide come in and out, as well as the sun setting and rising. We went for walks, swam in the sea and just chilled in the house. It's a great base to explore Herne Bay, Margate, Canterbury and of course Whitstable. Local shops are 5 mins Read moredrive away (or leisurely 30 minute walk). Highly recommend the local pub (Oyster Pearl) which is within walking distance. Hosts were great too. Hide

Whitstable is one of Kent’s most popular seaside towns, not only for its long shingle beaches, dotted with colourful huts and houses, but also for its annual Oyster Festival, when the town really comes alive. Here you can sample this renowned delicacy which has been collected in the area since Roman times and brings visitors from all over the globe to get a glimpse of the first catch of the season. Still a working harbour, you can sample a plethora of seafood from the stalls and restaurants as you watch the fishing boats return from sea, or pop up to the bohemian main street with its quirky colourful shops and galleries. Keep to the seaside theme and hire bikes to ride along the coast to Herne Bay just two miles away, or try the famous inland Crab and Winkle Way, which follows the old railway line between Whitstable and Canterbury and is packed with history and nostalgia. Relax with lazy days at the beach, building sandcastles and exploring hidden rock pools or take a long walk along the vast stretch of shingle beach. The area has lots of other beach walks, as well many country and woodland trails nearby, perfect for both you and the family dog! For a little culture, pay a visit to the town’s famous 18th century Castle and Gardens, Playhouse Theatre and Whitstable Museum and Gallery, all perfect for an afternoon or evening out. Only eight miles north of the cathedral city of Canterbury with its popular glass-fronted Marlowe Theatre, you are also just half an hour away from the up-and-coming seaside town of Margate and 45 minutes away from the port of Dover with its famous white cliffs. Slightly further afield, you will find the historic Cinque Ports towns of amongst others, Rye, Hastings and Tenterden where you will find a variety of spectacular monuments and beautiful castles to visit with all the family. Whitstable really is the perfect place for those who want to get back to how holidays used to be – full of fun, adventure and family.
