Stylish and light-filled single storey property situated directly on the beach in the seaside village of Seasalter, just two miles around the coast from the popular town of Whitstable.

Seasalter is a pretty seaside village in East Kent, well-known in the area for its fantastic gastropub which is a short walk from the property, perfect if you prefer to eat out rather than spend time cooking whilst on holiday. There are even more excellent restaurants in the nearby town of Whitstable, which is particularly well-known for its oysters. You may choose to simply spend time on the beach, either the local one in front of the house or perhaps make your way to Whitstable, where you can take the opportunity to enjoy the local shops, bars, cafes and restaurants or try out a number of water sports. Or why not drive, or take the bus, to nearby Canterbury, where a treasure trove of shops sits under the shadow of the city’s historic cathedral.

On arrival at the property, you will find yourselves in the spacious and well-designed open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. There is a comfortable seating area with a Smart TV and DVD and Blu-ray player and there is also a second seating area in front of the gas effect log burner fire, perfect for those cosy, chilly nights. The Blue Beach House provides many ways to enjoy the amazing panoramic sea views that this property has to offer. You will also find a well-equipped modern kitchen offering all the facilities that you might need, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is also a dining area where you might enjoy a meal together or just sit and soak up the views. The first of the property’s two bedrooms is a pleasant double room, finished with an attractive maritime theme, whilst the second bedroom is a cosy bunk bedroom. Finally, the bathroom offers a bath, separate shower, and WC.

Bi-folding doors span the width of the whole beach house and they can be opened fully to take in the fresh sea air and make the most of the breath-taking views. Beyond the bi-folding doors is a large deck with a table and chairs and wooden lounge chairs where you can relax and soak up some sun. Several steps lead from the decking down to the wild coastal grassed area where chairs sit gathered around a warming fire pit, providing a fantastic space to sit in the evenings and take in the beautiful surroundings, birdlife and glorious sunsets. The part of the beach beyond the garden and up to the average high tide level, belongs to the Blue Beach House so stepping off the end of the garden you have, in effect, your own slice of beach to enjoy. There is private parking for one car available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Great house in a peaceful location. Young member of our group loved getting up to to crabbing from the pier opposite the back garden at high tide every day! Fire pit and BBQ got lots of use and really convenient having washer/drier available to use. Highly recommended.

Absolutely perfect situation overlooking the sea. Very well equipped property which lends itself well to outdoor living - barbecuing, sitting round the fire pit, watching the sea / weather. Lovely!

Whitstable is one of Kent’s most popular seaside towns, not only for its long shingle beaches, dotted with colourful huts and houses, but also for its annual Oyster Festival, when the town really comes alive. Here you can sample this renowned delicacy which has been collected in the area since Roman times and brings visitors from all over the globe to get a glimpse of the first catch of the season. Still a working harbour, you can sample a plethora of seafood from the stalls and restaurants as you watch the fishing boats return from sea, or pop up to the bohemian main street with its quirky colourful shops and galleries. Keep to the seaside theme and hire bikes to ride along the coast to Herne Bay just two miles away, or try the famous inland Crab and Winkle Way, which follows the old railway line between Whitstable and Canterbury and is packed with history and nostalgia. Relax with lazy days at the beach, building sandcastles and exploring hidden rock pools or take a long walk along the vast stretch of shingle beach. The area has lots of other beach walks, as well many country and woodland trails nearby, perfect for both you and the family dog! For a little culture, pay a visit to the town’s famous 18th century Castle and Gardens, Playhouse Theatre and Whitstable Museum and Gallery, all perfect for an afternoon or evening out. Only eight miles north of the cathedral city of Canterbury with its popular glass-fronted Marlowe Theatre, you are also just half an hour away from the up-and-coming seaside town of Margate and 45 minutes away from the port of Dover with its famous white cliffs. Slightly further afield, you will find the historic Cinque Ports towns of amongst others, Rye, Hastings and Tenterden where you will find a variety of spectacular monuments and beautiful castles to visit with all the family. Whitstable really is the perfect place for those who want to get back to how holidays used to be – full of fun, adventure and family.
