Former coastguard’s cottage accommodating five guests, situated in a quiet corner of the seaside town of Whitstable, and yet is just a short walk from the seafront, shops, and restaurants.
This cottage is situated in a residential area of Whitstable, directly opposite the beachside tennis courts and just a few hundred yards from one of the town’s best-loved cafes, which also doubles as a fashionable shop. There are plenty of other places to eat in town, many more than could be sampled in one week, and there will be no need for guests to cook at all, should they wish to have a break from kitchen chores whilst away. There is plenty more to see and do in the town besides shopping and eating, including browsing the art galleries, walking on the beach, taking a stand-up paddleboarding lesson, or perhaps enjoying a show at the theatre.
The cosy heart of this three-storey cottage is the comfortable, welcoming lounge/diner where there are two inviting sofas to relax on, a warming open fire in the fireplace, stripped wooden floor, a TV/DVD, and a CD player. Moving through to the kitchen, guests will find breakfast-bar seating, and all the equipment they will need including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, as well as a stable door which leads out to the garden. Upstairs, two of the property’s three bedrooms can be found on the first floor: the first being a double room with sea views, whilst the other is a peaceful single room. The bathroom can also be found on the first floor and offers a bath, separate shower, and WC. The third bedroom is located on the second floor of the cottage, another double room which offers lovely views across the bay.
Outside, there is a beautifully designed garden to the rear of the property with contemporary-style garden furniture and a BBQ to help guests to really make the most of this space. There are public car parks available locally, as well as some roadside parking nearby.
