A single storey cottage in the heart of the countryside set within seven acres of grounds and fishing lake, this the perfect place for couples to explore both Devon and Cornwall.

The central and accessible location makes the property an ideal base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall where you will find a choice of beaches and coastal walks to the North and South as well as attractions to suit all tastes. These include Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor with its rugged scenery, Lydford Gorge, Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Morwellham Quay and RHS Rosemoor. Plymouth and Exeter are both easily accessible, as is Launceston with its castle, the ancient capital of Cornwall. Golf and cycle paths can be found locally.

Upon entering this single storey property, you will find yourself in the bright open-plan lounge/kitchen diner with a door leading to the outside. Curl upon the comfy sofas and watch your favourite film on the TV/DVD, enjoy a romantic meal for two in the kitchen with oil fired Rayburn, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Head further into the property to the lovely double bedroom with vanity area and an en-suite bathroom with shower bath and WC.

Heading outside enjoy a small, enclosed area with garden furniture perfect for dining alfresco on those warm summer evenings.  There is access to seven acres of grounds with two lakes stocked with carp, you are welcome to fish at part of the river, named Netherbridge Court. There is also a paddock with sheep next to this, to immerse you into the countryside way of living.Shared access to the games room/utility area with use of freezers, tumble dryer, football table and darts board. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Owners friendly access to accommodation is easy,clean,well-equipped. Welcome cream tea awaits you along with cornish milk,tea,coffee and sugar. Clean white bedding and towels provided along with a large dog towel, small dog bed and treats. Situated on small4 field farm with one small close to main road to allow dog of lead, other three have sheep aRead morend cattle in. One of these have two small fishing pools in aswell. We had a great stay at Robin Barn and couldnt have asked for anything more. Really welcoming, great location for exploring and we also enjoyed the fishing! Already planning our next trip back.

Really nice property, great central location to get around each day, cream tea waiting on arrival, which was lovely, and dog treats for our dogs too, a nice touch.

It was a lovely setting and the barn was beautifully laid out and furnished with fab thick and good drying towels. The only negative was the bed. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable better mattress is needed. Gorgeous property with the cosiest of barns. Brilliant location for exploring around. Great area to exercise the dog, my dog loved it! We felt right at home. Will definitely be staying again. :)

Whitstable is one of Kent’s most popular seaside towns, not only for its long shingle beaches, dotted with colourful huts and houses, but also for its annual Oyster Festival, when the town really comes alive. Here you can sample this renowned delicacy which has been collected in the area since Roman times and brings visitors from all over the globe to get a glimpse of the first catch of the season. Still a working harbour, you can sample a plethora of seafood from the stalls and restaurants as you watch the fishing boats return from sea, or pop up to the bohemian main street with its quirky colourful shops and galleries. Keep to the seaside theme and hire bikes to ride along the coast to Herne Bay just two miles away, or try the famous inland Crab and Winkle Way, which follows the old railway line between Whitstable and Canterbury and is packed with history and nostalgia. Relax with lazy days at the beach, building sandcastles and exploring hidden rock pools or take a long walk along the vast stretch of shingle beach. The area has lots of other beach walks, as well many country and woodland trails nearby, perfect for both you and the family dog! For a little culture, pay a visit to the town’s famous 18th century Castle and Gardens, Playhouse Theatre and Whitstable Museum and Gallery, all perfect for an afternoon or evening out. Only eight miles north of the cathedral city of Canterbury with its popular glass-fronted Marlowe Theatre, you are also just half an hour away from the up-and-coming seaside town of Margate and 45 minutes away from the port of Dover with its famous white cliffs. Slightly further afield, you will find the historic Cinque Ports towns of amongst others, Rye, Hastings and Tenterden where you will find a variety of spectacular monuments and beautiful castles to visit with all the family. Whitstable really is the perfect place for those who want to get back to how holidays used to be – full of fun, adventure and family.
