Centrally located amidst the Luxulyan Valley World Heritage Site and with The Eden Project close by, you will be well placed to enjoy some of the best of Cornwall. The popular coastal towns of Fowey, Looe and Charlestown are just a short drive, and from here walkers can enjoy exploring via the picturesque South West Coast Path. Alternatively, the ruggedly beautiful North Coast is conveniently drive-able and includes the ever popular destinations of Port Isaac - famed in the TV show Doc Martin, Padstow, Polzeath - one of the countries surfing hot spots and the lovely village of Rock. Other attractions accessible from here include cycling at Cardinham Woods, the National Lobster Hatchery, Newquay Zoo, an 18 hole golf course in Bodmin and National Trust Lanhydrock House and gardens.

A gravelled path from the parking area leads to this pretty property and when inside you will find the accommodation conveniently arranged on just the one level. Firstly this opens to a warm and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a Smart TV, lovely countryside views and French doors to outside. This lovely sociable area provides the perfect venue for a relaxed breakfast before heading out for the day, or enjoying a film in the evening. The kitchen area itself is also perfectly appointed and boasts all the essentials including an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, and fridge with ice compartment. Completing the offering inside the property is a beautifully presented king-size bedroom with exposed beams and a Smart TV; and then a contemporary bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Heading outside you will then discover a fabulous large enclosed lawn garden with a patio area, garden furniture, BBQ and stunning views of the surrounding countryside, including a view of the ancient ‘Saints Way’ walking route . Private off-road parking is provided.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had a wonderful week at Rosemelling Barn. It is a well designed, comfortable and well equipped holiday home. The surroundings and views from the barn are beautiful. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the private, secluded garden is a real asset. Would highly recommend a stay here.

This is a pretty, comfortable and well appointed cottage in a peaceful location. Rosemelling Barn is ideal for exploring local attractions, towns and villages as well as a great base for travelling further afield. The enclosed garden (great for dogs) surrounded by fields attracts wildlife and birds which are fun to watch when not out and about.

The cottage was clean, well equipped and in a lovely location. As a lover of the countryside and of wildlife it could not have been in a better location. Very tranquil. Travelling along the country roads can be daunting at first but one adjusts accordingly.

Best place Ive stayed in down Cornwall way. The views were fab and the village was just far enough away. The owners were friendly and helpful. Cottage was compact, without feeling small, and well appointed. If I was being picky I would have liked a better equipped kitchen (a dishwasher and washing machine) but that isnt a problem if you plan ahead Read moreand their absence did nothing to spoil the place. We loved the cottage. It was a very peaceful place with lots of visits from birds and other wild life. Very cosy and comfortable, especially the bed. Our own garden with very nice garden furniture and even a barbecue. The dog enjoyed her holiday too. Lots of local attractions with The Eden Project just about one mile away.

The "Barn" was first class. Views out of the windows were amazing . I saw deers and we also had visits to the bird feeders outside one of our windows . Bedroom was good size with plenty of storage. Judy and Nick were great hosts, introducing themselves immediately on our arrival, making sure we had everything we needed - nothing was too much trouble ! Our stay was amazing, super hosts, just like home from home. Our dogs loved the garden at the back, we saw deers, rabbits and squirrels. Beautiful little birds on the feeders. Its very quaint, peaceful and near lots of amenities. We like to visit Parr beach and Watergate Bay. Definitely somewhere we would stay again and highly recommend.

Whitstable is one of Kent’s most popular seaside towns, not only for its long shingle beaches, dotted with colourful huts and houses, but also for its annual Oyster Festival, when the town really comes alive. Here you can sample this renowned delicacy which has been collected in the area since Roman times and brings visitors from all over the globe to get a glimpse of the first catch of the season. Still a working harbour, you can sample a plethora of seafood from the stalls and restaurants as you watch the fishing boats return from sea, or pop up to the bohemian main street with its quirky colourful shops and galleries. Keep to the seaside theme and hire bikes to ride along the coast to Herne Bay just two miles away, or try the famous inland Crab and Winkle Way, which follows the old railway line between Whitstable and Canterbury and is packed with history and nostalgia. Relax with lazy days at the beach, building sandcastles and exploring hidden rock pools or take a long walk along the vast stretch of shingle beach.
