This stunning family holiday home has direct access to Seasalter beach and has been stylishly decorated and furnished in a relaxed way throughout for memorable getaways with friends or family.

This cosy cottage is situated right on the beach at Seasalter, with its quiet, shingle beach, it is ideal for sailing, swimming or a spot of birdwatching at the RSPB nature reserve directly opposite. Just a short drive from the property, is one of Kent’s most loved seaside towns: Whitstable – it’s famous for its oysters which are celebrated every July at the Oyster Festival and a fantastic place for those who enjoy eating out and sampling the local food. Why not take a bike ride along the seafront, or follow the Crab and Winkle Way or ride along the coast to Herne Bay. Nearby is the city of Canterbury, which is home to the country’s oldest Cathedral. Visit the ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church which form Canterbury's UNESCO World Heritage site.

Step inside this property and enter into a hallway where there is space for dropping off sandy shoes and hanging coats, and then head on through into the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with the most fantastic panoramic sea views. The kitchen area is well-equipped for family entertaining with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The lounge area offers two comfy sofas, a Smart TV and DAB radio. The dining table with seating for four overlooks the rear beach garden and the wonderful views beyond. The property offers two bedrooms: a king-size and a twin bedroom and is competed with a shower room with shower and WC.

French doors open from the lounge area out to a decked area with dining table, chairs and charcoal BBQ, perfect for toasting marshmallows whilst star gazing in the evening. A garden gate at the end of the garden gives direct access to the beach. At the front of the property is parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This property is well presented and equipped, spacious, clean and comfortable. The view and sunsets are fantastic from the lovely decked area, with wide stretching views. The garden access to the large pebble beach is not suitable for everyone, but there is easy access just 2mins walk away. The owners were very helpful when I phoned a few days befoRead morere our trip. Great property for all ages. I would definitely recommend this property and visit again. Beach Retreat was SO beautifully fitted out, the layout and design made it very comfortable and relaxing. Easy to settle in, hard to leave! The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in for years! The view of course is superb, and we loved our stay.

Really beautiful and well maintained cottage right on the sea. It had everything we needed and was a really relaxing atmosphere. We loved this property a beautiful getaway with panoramic views of the sea. The tide when it comes in is just outside the wall of the garden. The property is of a high standard with a modern kitchen with everything you would need . The owners thoughtfully left some tea and sugar. The beds very very comfortable. Whitstable is one of Kent’s most popular seaside towns, not only for its long shingle beaches, dotted with colourful huts and houses, but also for its annual Oyster Festival, when the town really comes alive. Here you can sample this renowned delicacy which has been collected in the area since Roman times and brings visitors from all over the globe to get a glimpse of the first catch of the season. Still a working harbour, you can sample a plethora of seafood from the stalls and restaurants as you watch the fishing boats return from sea, or pop up to the bohemian main street with its quirky colourful shops and galleries. Keep to the seaside theme and hire bikes to ride along the coast to Herne Bay just two miles away, or try the famous inland Crab and Winkle Way, which follows the old railway line between Whitstable and Canterbury and is packed with history and nostalgia. Relax with lazy days at the beach, building sandcastles and exploring hidden rock pools or take a long walk along the vast stretch of shingle beach. The area has lots of other beach walks, as well many country and woodland trails nearby, perfect for both you and the family dog! For a little culture, pay a visit to the town’s famous 18th century Castle and Gardens, Playhouse Theatre and Whitstable Museum and Gallery, all perfect for an afternoon or evening out. Only eight miles north of the cathedral city of Canterbury with its popular glass-fronted Marlowe Theatre, you are also just half an hour away from the up-and-coming seaside town of Margate and 45 minutes away from the port of Dover with its famous white cliffs. Slightly further afield, you will find the historic Cinque Ports towns of amongst others, Rye, Hastings and Tenterden where you will find a variety of spectacular monuments and beautiful castles to visit with all the family. Whitstable really is the perfect place for those who want to get back to how holidays used to be – full of fun, adventure and family.
