The town is well-known for its laid-back, fashionable character, and offers an excellent choice of restaurants, gastropubs, and delis, as well as a range of interesting independent boutiques. The sea front is just a short stroll away, including the bustling harbour and the pretty beach at Tankerton just around the corner. The area surrounding the town has much to offer to visitors too, including the cathedral city of Canterbury, the wildlife parks at Port Lympne and Howletts, and Margate with its Turner Contemporary Gallery and Dreamland theme park.
Guests approach this property via a courtyard which is shared with the ground-floor cheese shop and its friendly owner. Stairs from the front door lead to the accommodation which occupies the first and second floors of the building. The main living area is located on the first floor and comprises a lounge/diner, a separate kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower-over-bath and WC. The lounge/diner is a comfortable space, and offers comfortable sofa seating, a window-side dining table, and a TV/DVD. The kitchen, meanwhile, is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, and washer/dryer. Stairs lead to the second floor, where the two bedrooms can be found. The first of these is a pleasant double room, whilst the other is a cosy single room with a small-sized single bed.
Outside, the property benefits from a courtyard garden with a table and chairs. Guests should be aware that the owners of the ground-floor cheese shop also have access to this courtyard. There is roadside parking available locally, or alternatively guests may choose to use the nearby public car parks.
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
